High School Experience
The popularity of our Academic Term Programme grows year by year. Traditionally students who want to experience New Zealand high schools come for our Term 3, i.e. during summer holidays in the Northern Hemisphere. This year we had a wide range of students in our Academic Term programme coming from Spain, Russia, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Italy and Chile. Most students preferred to stay in Auckland schools and went to Glendowie College, Sacred Heart College, Onehunga High School, Western Springs College, Glendowie Primary, Selwyn College, Mount Albert Grammar School and Rosehill College. Also, there were those who didn’t mind an extra flight to the scenic South Island and went to Garin College in Nelson and Wakatipu High School in Queenstown. Apart from improving their English students returned home enriched by their learning and cross-cultural experience in New Zealand. For next year’s programme intake, please contact us on

JULY 2011
Tour Group Season
July has traditionally been the tour group season for Kiwi English and this year was no different, although it was a real melting pot this time. Students from Spain, Russia, China, Thailand, Tahiti and Italy have been exploring the many sights and activities in central and greater Auckland.
After the traditional English + Activities programme, the Spanish students set off on a week’s tour around the North Island before settling in to high schools around Auckland for the Academic Term programme. Our little Chinese group are also having a taste of Auckland schools before venturing off for farmstay experience.
The next study tour intake is in October. For your study tour quote and information, please e-mail admin@kiwienglish.co.nz

Meet New Staff
Corinne Imbert joined our team as Activities Coordinator right before the busy tour group season. Not only did she have to manage the daily activities and guiding, but also to double as a Spanish and French Counsellor. Originally from Spain, Corinne is also fluent in French and will be a great support to our European students. For any activity bookings or enquiries, you can contact Corinne on

Mid Year Christmas
Mid winter Christmas may not be an official festival but it is a fun way to warm up winter. All students were involved in the party one way or another: some cooked, some entertained and some simply enjoyed the festive atmosphere and the food. Apart from traditional Kiwi treats like ham and pavlova students savoured the flavours of the world - tiramisu, sushi, sticky rice, blini, tortillas to name but a few
